Saturday, October 18 (5:00-7:30pm) The Garden Goes Batty! at the Water Conservation Garden. Family-friendly event featuring Miss Smarty Plants, live music, and trick or treat stations. Purchase discounted tickets in advance. Food for sale at the event. This is a fundraiser for the Water Garden.

Friday, October 24 (4:00-7:00pm) Spooktacular event at Spring Valley Community Center, 8735 Jamacha Blvd., Spring Valley. A spooktacular family festival featuring music, games, arts & crafts, face painting and other fun activities for trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Saturday, October 25 (9:30 - 11am) Free Master Gardener Workshop “Planting Slopes for Beauty, Resiliency, & Stability” at the Water Conservation Garden. The workshop is free, but attendees are asked to register in advance.

Saturday, October 25 (11:30am-12:30pm) “Hawktober” at Hilton Head County Park. The County of San Diego’s Park & Rec department will bring their ambassador birds (hawks, owls, and/or falcons_ so that you can meet them up close and learn about their unique behaviors and adaptations.
