Saturday, October 4th  (3:00-5:00pm) Dia de Los Muertos at the Bancroft Ranch House, presented by the Spring Valley Historical Society

Sunday, October 5th  (7:00am - 1:00pm) “Parking Lot Sale” at Monte Vista High School, benefiting the Monte Vista High School Band. (Furniture, clothes, toys, home goods, and more!)

Wednesday, October 8th (11am - 12noon) “Hawktober” at the Spring Valley Community Center. The County of San Diego’s Park & Rec department will bring their ambassador birds (hawks, owls, and/or falcons_ so that you can meet them up close and learn about their unique behaviors and adaptations.

Friday, October 10 (9:00am - 4:00pm) Free Admission Friday at the Water Conservation Garden every 2nd Friday.

Saturday, October 18 (5:00-7:30pm) The Garden Goes Batty! at the Water Conservation Garden. Family-friendly event featuring Miss Smarty Plants, live music, and trick or treat stations. Purchase discounted tickets in advance. Food for sale at the event. This is a fundraiser for the Water Garden.

Friday, October 24 (4:00-7:00pm) Spooktacular event at Spring Valley Community Center, 8735 Jamacha Blvd., Spring Valley. A spooktacular family festival featuring music, games, arts & crafts, face painting and other fun activities for trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Saturday, October 25 (9:30 - 11am) Free Master Gardener Workshop “Planting Slopes for Beauty, Resiliency, & Stability” at the Water Conservation Garden. The workshop is free, but attendees are asked to register in advance.
