The Casa de Oro Alliance just learned about this meeting and wanted to share it since the Sweetwater Reservoir is located near where many of you live, work, and play.

Sweetwater Authority plans to build a massive floating solar farm on Sweetwater Reservoir and they might be trying to do it without an Environmental Impact Report.

This project could have serious consequences on the environment and the water supply, and it’s up to the community to make sure the proper precautions are taken.

Sweetwater reservoir is one of the locations where fire-fighting helicopters get water for their water drops. It is uncertain how a floating solar farm would affect fire-fighting.

The Sweetwater Authority is holding a special board meeting on:
🗓️ Saturday, December 14th
🕘 9:00 a.m.
📍505 Garrett Ave., Chula Vista, CA 91910

If you are concerned about this project, please attend and express your thoughts on the potential risks involved in this project.
