DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, MAY 9th (3:00-4:30pm)\nNATURE TALK WITH RANGER THOMAS HOSTED BY THE CASA DE ORO ALLIANCE \nLOCATION:  Estrella County Park\, 9813 Estrella Dr (in the picnic table area) \nPARKING: Limited parking is available in the park’s parking lot on Estrella Drive where you can access the park using the stairs or walking down the access road on the western section of the park.  Additional street parking is available on North Bonita Street near Sierra Madre Road where you can access the park from the lower southeastern dirt path entrance. \nLearn about the flora and fauna of Estrella County Park and meet one of the county park rangers\, Ranger Thomas! \nThis is a kid-friendly event\, but note that there are NO RESTROOM FACILITIES at Estrella County Park. \nBring a chair. Limited seating is available at the picnic tables. \nMake an upcycled wildlife craft — this free activity is led by one of Spring Valley’s local Girl Scout troops. \nBring a friend or a neighbor and help to build a stronger community here in Casa de Oro.

DESCRIPTION:THURSDAY\, FEBRUARY 26th (6:00-7:00pm) \nCAMPO ROAD UPDATE / COMMUNITY WORKSHOP \nLOCATION:  Rancho San Diego Public Library\, 11555 Via Rancho San Diego\, El Cajon 92019 \nPlease attend! \nThis is the next County community engagement workshop in the process to keep the public updated on the road design progress/process and to get your comments and feedback. \nWORKSHOP OVERVIEW\nDuring the workshop\, attendees will review the design elements and provide comments and feedback. \nPROJECT OVERVIEW \nThe County’s Planning and Development Services Department in partnership with the County’s Department of Public Works is developing preliminary engineering and design plans for the Campo Road Corridor Revitalization project. Current efforts are supported by grant funding and focus on outreach and engagement as well as the preliminary engineering design of roundabouts and enhanced bicycle\, pedestrian\, and roadway safety improvements. This is a key step toward improving safety and road conditions consistent with the Campo Road Specific Plan (document).
