The Casa de Oro Alliance receives guidance from the Sheriff’s Department, Code Enforcement, Department of Public Works and the East County Community Change Project of the Institute for Public Strategies. We also meet quarterly with Supervisor Diane Jacob to obtain her support.
Members of the Alliance include representatives from the Spring Valley Planning Group, Valle de Oro Planning Group, Grossmont-Mount Helix Improvement Association, Dictionary Hill Open Space Advocates, Kiwanis’s Club, Parent Teacher Association, Faith Chapel and numerous other faith based groups, Grossmont Union High School District, Young Actor’s Theater, and local business owners.
The Alliance has also brought people together with special expertise in community revitalization, urban planning, commercial architecture, commercial real estate, economic development, business improvement, policy development, strategic planning, law enforcement, and homeless outreach.
